Meet Your Teachers

Sydney Cutler-Abich After becoming a first time mom balancing a full-time career, I eventually found myself feeling totally depleted-- sleep-deprived, drained, unhealthy, and disconnected from my loved ones and myself. In a moment of desperation, I tried a Yoga Nidra meditation class, and, over time, experienced a total transformation in my ability to care for myself as well as my approach to life, career, and family. I wanted to share this amazing practice in our community, so I travelled to the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockton, MA, to train with Jennifer Reis , and became certified Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra® instructor. I then pursued my 200-hour yoga teacher training with Adriana Rizzolo at Yogala Los Angeles, CA. I hold a Bachelor of Science from Boston University in Speech-Language Pathology and a Master's Degree in Social Work with a healthcare concentration from Barry University. I believe in the transformative power of music, nature, love, compassion, self-inquiry, and community. I live in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles with my husband and son.

Malia Wright I have always been fascinated in people's stories, truth, and the innate beauty that is revealed from an individual. For years I pursued a career in the performing arts, living in NYC, hustling, driving myself into the ground until ultimately everything began to crumble. I was depressed, anxious and I knew at that moment, there had to be another way. I found the healing arts of Yoga, Tantra and Ayurveda, and everything began to shift. My relationships, my digestive system, my critical thoughts, my creativity, my career, my heart and I started to heal. This transformed into a deep passion to help people along the same path, to hear their stories, unravel their truth, bring themselves to their most abundant state of being and thrive, following their unique, beautiful purpose. I am an E-RYT 200, an ISHTA Yoga Certified 300hr Teacher, and an Ayurvedic Wellness Coach through the Sri-Vidya Lineage, and I am honored to transcend teachings from my teachers, Katie Silcox , Alan Finger , and Mona Anand .

Oh and did we mention the incredible chef?

Josh Merer Professional Chef, passionate runner, and advocate of clean healthy eating. I have worked in New York City and Los Angeles at Michelin starred restaurants, neighborhood bistros, catering and retreats. I believe food and cooking is an extension of the self. You must share a part of yourself with those for whom you cook. For me, that is voiced through my passion for food that is rooted in purpose. Purpose may mean the seasonality and locality of ingredients. It may also be the picture, or the story I wish to tell through my food. Most importantly, purpose is how that food nourishes our body, minds and our soul.
